First, jazz dance is usually associated with swing (unless your idea of modern jazz dance, which is more of a solo dance performance type, like the ballet.)

On the other hand, dances, Salsa and Swing and social is the way that you are looking for online resources to learn, but when it comes to that, you're dancing with someone other than you. Online resources can help you to learn, but we will begin. I tell you where you start your local scene, Lindy Hop / trainers () to learn more about the cause and continue to dance.

For Swing, try searching in the city / state on this page:
http://www.thelindyhop.com

You should try a "social turn, can" night. At these events there will be a cost for the course (from $ 3 to $ 10). The advantage is that in these places you will find a swing dance class for about an hour, then social dancing for the rest of the night and do not necessarily need a partner!

It sHelp. . . There are online resources that you are trying to expand their knowledge.

If you are a beginner, want to start by learning some East Coast Swing. It is easier to learn as a beginner. This is a 6-Count Basie, and remains on that basis. There is also a standard ballroom dance and is very easy to find a teacher.
Here is how the dance is as follows:

Want to learn some basic movements, like the tour inside, not outside, hugging or affection, etc.

Well, unless you go to the fair competition, there's really no reason to keep learning just to the east coast, you want to go to Lindy Hop.

Lindy Hop is the original swing dance, developed out of Charleston in Harlem. The dance is almost always what is considered "swing" by the standards of most people (also known) as the Jitterbug. It is a dance of the 8th May pieces which have different variants.
Here is how the dance is as follows:

In addition, you should learn other swing type dances like Charleston, Collegiate Shag and Balboa.

There are some free instructional videos on YouTube and Google Video can be searched, but I think the best online resource:
http://www.idance.net
They have some free hours, but have to pay the most. . . do not worry, it's only $ 1 per video, so it's pretty cheap! (Search "iDance" on YouTube to Google free courses, which were made public to see.)

If you want a little inspiration about swing dancing, check out this video (It's a professional), Lindy Hop Competition:

Nothing. I suggest that you pay for dance lessons. They are cheaper, especially if you are opening up at classes. Just do a search online that [your country here] dance school (or a dance studio Dance Center, Conservatory of Dance, etc.)
Good luck in your search.
BTW --
The YMCA offers dance lessons (salsa I was there.).
